Ramadan Campaign

Umniah concluded its Ramadan campaign, “Umniah Al Khair,” in partnership with Tkiyet Um Ali and Waqf Thareed. This initiative involved volunteer work, fundraising activities, and delivering aid parcels and meals to disadvantaged families.

Throughout the campaign, Umniah provided support to families living below the poverty line, who are beneficiaries of Tkiyet Um Ali’s programs, by supplying them with monthly food parcels for a year. The company’s employees, along with the Umniah Youth Team, participated in various activities under the Umniah Volunteer Program (UVolunteer) and in collaboration with the “Nahno” platform. These activities included packaging food parcels at Tkiyet Um Ali’s warehouses for distribution through the Zaher Al-Basateen Charity Association, wrapping and handing out Iftar meals at Tkiyet Um Ali’s Mawae’d Al Rahman, and coordinating Iftar meal distributions with Tkiyet Sayedna Khalil Al Rahman. The annual campaign concluded with Umniah distributing Iftar meals to people fasting downtown near the Grand Husseini Mosque, in partnership with Waqf Thareed.

Umniah also successfully concluded its Ramadan fundraising campaign in support of Gaza, in partnership with Waqf Thareed, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization and the Jordanian Armed Forces. This goal of this initiative was to deliver healthy and balanced Iftar meals through airdrops to people in the Gaza Strip. Prior to this, Umniah had announced the cancellation of its annual Ramadan events for employees, redirecting those funds to support Waqf Thareed’s humanitarian efforts.

Wajeeha Al-Husseini, Director of Brand and Corporate Communications at Umniah, said: “For nineteen years, Umniah Al Khair, our annual Ramadan initiative, has reflected our commitment to the local community, reinforcing the principles of our social responsibility strategy.”

Al-Husseini commended Umniah’s collaboration with multiple charitable organizations, emphasizing its commitment to supporting those in need and fostering sustainable development. She said, “We hope that our campaign this year has made a modest yet meaningful difference in the lives of those it reached, reflecting Umniah and its employees’ dedication to social responsibility and our core values of mutual support and community engagement.”

Al-Husseini thanked all those who contributed to Umniah Al-Khair’s success, including the Umniah youth team, employees, Nahno platform volunteers, and partners from civil society institutions and charities.

Since its establishment in 2005, Umniah Al-Khair reflects Umniah’s commitment to volunteerism and community support. The company actively runs programs and initiatives that promote social solidarity, cohesion, and aid for underprivileged groups.
