Umniah Sponsors Prime Minister's Meeting with the Information and Communications Technology Association November 29, 2018 – Amman, Jordan: Umniah, sponsored the meeting between Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Omar Razzaz and member companies of the Information and Communications Technology Association “int@j” at the Four Seasons Hotel Amman. Organized by int@j, the meeting was attended by the Minister of Information and Communication Technology Engineer Mothanna Gharaibeh and Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara, as well as executives representing communications companies and other sector-specific institutions. The meeting, led by the int@j Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh, examined challenges facing the communications and information technology sector, and highlighted the sector's achievements and its vital role in achieving economic development by providing investment opportunities through companies operating in the sector. Shatara affirmed that Umniah's sponsorship of the meeting is in line with its strategy to support and reinforce the Jordanian communications sector's forward progress as well as to create a quantum and positive leap in this vital area. These efforts will merge and make the Kingdom a regional center for information technology companies. Shatara praised the extensive efforts by int@j, and the team headed by Dr. Hawamdeh, for reinforcing the communications and information technology sector’s efforts and its work on solving the challenges it faces. - End-
