Umniah sponsors Amman Arabia Festival

Umniah sponsors Amman Arabia Festival in its fourth session under the theme "The Forum of Civilizations" Amman, 23rd June 2019 Umniah has announced its sponsorship of the fourth edition of the Amman Arabia Festival, organized by Baqa’ for Culture and Arts Association under the title "The Forum of Civilizations", in Al Hussein public parks during the period from 21 to 26 June. Umniah’s sponsorship stems out of its continuous support for the artistic and cultural movement in the Kingdom, enriching the local creative art scene and strengthening Jordanian cultural identity. The Festival includes 4 main events (the carnival, art, children's theater and the art exhibition), to improve the life skills of various segments of society by developing their skills and abilities to accept other cultures, which in turn helps to create a free civil society and revitalize the art movement at home and across the Arab world. The Festival is further hoped to stimulate the role of the local community in embracing artistic thought to create a promising environment for future generations to launch and nurture their artistic creations by integrating different types of arts. Commenting on the sponsorship, Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara praised Baqa’ for Culture and Arts Association’s efforts in supporting Jordan's cultural movement and promoting Arab arts both locally and internationally. Shatara emphasized Umniah’s eagerness to establish strategic partnerships with various national cultural institutions seeking to place Jordan on the culture and arts map regionally and globally, and to enable Jordanian talent to launch into new levels of creativity and excellence. He further expressed his hope that Umniah’s sponsorship of this Festival reaps the desired benefits. It is worthy to note the Baqa’ for Culture and Arts Association was founded in 2016 as a non-profit association affiliated to the Ministry of Culture that aims to increase cultural awareness of all segments of society through wide-ranging programs, activities and cultural events. The Association, moreover, aims to develop work for the benefit of young people in particular and the community in general, as well as promote openness to other countries and communities.
