Umniah: Platinum Sponsor of the Artificial Intelligence Conference and Exhibition for Defense Technology and Cyber Security
October 30, 2021 – Amman, Jordan: Umniah was the platinum sponsor of the Artificial Intelligence Conference and Exhibition for Defense Technology and Cyber Security (AIDTSEC 2021) organized by the Special Operations Forces Exhibition / SOFEX – Jordan and held at the Al Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre in the Dead Sea on October 27 and 28.
At the event, Umniah showcased its cybersecurity solutions through its Cyber Security Academy, which was established in 2019, as well as its artificial intelligence solutions. Also at the event, Umniah Director of Quality, Business Continuity and Information Security, Amjad Farouqa took part in a dialogue session about digital transformation.
Umniah’s pavilion at the exhibition attracted conference participants, including the Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmad Hanandeh, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Al- Huneiti and Assistant of Public Security Directorate (PSD) director for administration and logistics support Brigadier General Mutasem Abu Shattal, along with a number of other senior public security officers. At the pavilion, Umniah team members introduced attendees to the company’s most notable services and solutions for both corporate and individual clients.
Speaking about the company’s platinum sponsorship of the event, Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara said that the conference comes at an opportune time, when defense technology and cybersecurity have become of critical interest to countries and companies at a global level in light of their importance in protecting economies, institutions and the infrastructure in order to further digital transformation.
Shatara went on to say that the information and communication technology revolution is a compelling reason to continuously communicate the latest developments in the world of artificial intelligence, adding that both the conference and exhibition brought together companies, experts and decision makers through dialogue sessions as well as at the pavilions, where they were able to exchange ideas and explore the latest and most innovative ideas.
Farouqa, speaking about his participation as keynote speaker in a dialogue session on digital transformation, said that the session was especially important in view of world’s increasing dependence on technical solutions and services as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. As a response to the pandemic, telecommunications and technology companies were able to create digital solutions that facilitated life in light of the procedures and closures witnessed on a global scale.
