Students from Oxford University Conclude their Summer Training Program with Umniah September 18, 2018 – Amman, Jordan: Umniah hosted students from the United Kingdom’s Oxford University students at a summer training program organized by the company in Jordan as part of its cooperation agreement with the British university and as per its role as a pioneer in the service of the education sector. Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara said that the training program is another step in the company’s support to the educational sector as part of its belief in its importance. He added that the program achieves multi-pronged objectives, including cultural exchange among students throughout the world. He went on to add Umniah by hosting students from Oxford, the company is able to reinforce diversity and provide its employees with the opportunity to interact with various cultures and languages, while simultaneously examining new global trends among youth and their use of modern technology. Shatara also said that trainees were able to garner practical experience in one of the most dynamic and competitive communications markets in the world, in addition to examining the Jordanian society's culture and deep heritage through the exchange of cultural and professional experiences. Students James Shane and Hugo Thomas, who took part in the Umniah's training program, were able to acquire practical skills that reflect the theoretical side of their education at Oxford University. The two students spent over three months under the supervision, observation and direction of specialists and management team members throughout the telecom, participating in the work environment and examining the requirements of the local market. They expressed their thanks to Umniah for the opportunity to work at the company and enjoyed delving into Jordanian society and culture. - End-
