December 8, 2021 – Amman, Jordan: UWallet, the leading electronic financial services wallet, has signed a cooperation agreement with Tamweelcom, the Jordan Microfinance Company. The agreement, which will see Tamweelcom digitize the disbursement of funds to its clients, is in line with UWallet’s strategy of furthering financial inclusion and participating in the implementation of a national strategy towards the transformation into a cashless society
Through the agreement, Tamweelcom customers can receive financing easily and effectively through UWallet instead of through checks, and they can withdraw their funds through UWallet agents nationwide, from ATMs or through the platform’s new debit card within hours of requesting the financing, eliminating the risk of loss or theft.
This strategic partnership between UWallet and Tamweelcom reflects the eagerness of both institutions to support the national strategy for financial inclusion, as well as Tamweelcom’s efforts to integrate technology into its operations by digitizing a number of its credit and financial processes. The company has also adopted a digital transformation system to provide safe digital options that facilitate access to the financing and services at the lowest cost, effort, and time.
