December 16, 2017 – Amman, Jordan: Umniah announced its sponsorship of and participation in the First Annual CyberSecurity Conference, organized by the Jordan’s Chapterof the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), titled “Secure the Future with Cyber Protectionmembers. The conference, which was held at the King Hussein Business Park between December 11 and 13, saw the participation of over300 specialized Arab and International figures from all sectors. AFCEA International has strong participation in this conference along with more than 30 high ranking speakers and specialists from all over the word. President of AFCEA Jordan’s Chapter Engineer Rula Ammuri stressed on Umniah’s pivotal role in this conference, going on to highlight the telecom’s commitment to supporting efforts in confronting electronic attacks as well as their risks on all Internet users. Ammuri added that Umniah, through its participation in the conference’s working sessions, showed its deep knowledge and involvement in the field of information security, and has even created a specialized center in the field. Ammuri also affirmed that the conference provided participants with a key opportunity to exchange information and experience in cyber security, a field that has become one of the most important priorities of both the public and private sectors. On the second day of the conference, business solutions expert Engineer Murad Al-Abdallat presented a brief on information protection and security offered by Umniah through its specialized Security Operation Center (SOC), which was built according to international standards and specifications. He noted that the information security services offered by Umniah are set apart from the rest by their comprehensiveness and ease of application. Commenting on the company’s participation in the First Annual CyberSecurity Conference, held for the first time at the regional level, Umniah’s CEO Ziad Shatara said, “Umniah is a pioneering communications company at the forefront of the provision of information security and solutions services.
