Umniah’s mobile app honored during the 2018 Gulf Customer Experience Awards

Competing against major companies throughout the Middle East, Umniah was announced the runner up in the Best Application/Use of Mobile award during the 2018 Gulf Customer Experience Awards, which took place in Dubai last Tuesday. The award was received by Umniah’s Digital Transformation Director, Ammar Qaffaf The highly sought-after accolade was given to Umniah after a series of more than 100 finalists presentations, in recognition of Umniah’s continued efforts to deliver a best-in-class mobile application that serves as a one-stop-shop for its subscribers, as part of a larger strategy to redefine experience of customers and streamline the core operations and transactions frequently requested by customers. Umniah’s mobile app had met or exceeded the stringent standards established by the specialized judging panel, which spanned breadth of features, design, ease-of-use, versatility, and others. “This award reinforces Umniah’s unique status in the telecoms markets of both Jordan and the Middle East as a whole, as well as its continued efforts in the arena of digital transformation,” explained Umniah’s CEO, Ziad Shatara. “Umniah continues to provide exceptional services that leverage the modern digital revolution in the favor of the customer by truly redefining the way they perceive and manage their subscriptions. The Umniah app serves as a manifestation of the digital transformation strategy and the leap in the customer experience it stands to provide.” Since the launch of its mobile app, Umniah has continually worked to develop and expand its array of features, transforming it into a successful model of “self-service” by enabling subscribers to complete a wide variety of requests and transactions from the convenience of their mobile screens. These includes filing customer service requests like filing and tracking support tickets, as well as directly chatting with service representatives from within the app or scheduling appointments for face-to-face support at Umniah’s service centers to reduce wait times. The app also enables customers manage payments by linking their accounts to PayPal, allowing for instant, automated and secure transactions.
