Umniah offers customers the ability to donate to the Ministry of Health via its umnicoin loyalty platform Umniah continues to exercise its social responsibility by dedicating the resources at its disposal to support the efforts of the Ministry of Health in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. As of today, the operator is pleased to announce that it is offering its customers the opportunity to donate to the ministry directly through Umniah’s flagship loyalty program, umnicoin. Umniah has added the Ministry of Health to the list of humanitarian and charity organizations supported by umnicoin in order to allow customers to donate their rewards. Umniah’s CEO, Ziad Shatara, expressed his unwavering gratitude to the efforts of the ministry and its medical teams in combating the spread of the novel coronavirus, noting that the precautionary steps taken by the ministry has made all Jordanians feels safe and proud. Shatara also noted that Umniah is undertaking this initiative as part of a series of steps to support national institutions during this global crisis, particularly given the fact that many public servants are working day and night to ensure that Jordanian remains safe. Steps taken by Umniah so far include a JOD 50,000 donation to the ministry to procure ventilators for COVID-19 patients, in addition to offering free internet connectivity on its network to the Ministry of Education’s “Darsak” e-learning platform. The operator is also refraining from disconnecting any subscriptions throughout the crisis, even those with pending payments, to ensure that Jordanians remain connected until the situation is over.
