Umniah Launches Innovative Marketing Campaign ‘Shababi Village’ at 8 Jordanian Universities Amman, Jordan, 17 October 2019: For the fifth year in a row, Umniah has launched its interactive and innovative campaign, Shababi Village, at eight Jordanian universities, to promote its packages and services targeted for youth. The campaign, which is the largest from Umniah, ended on October 27 and promoted Shababi 6 and Shababi 8 Smart Lines, in addition to the Secure Cloud service the company launched in order to enhance the protection of mobile phones against cyber-attacks and promote safe and secure social networking and online shopping. Throughout the campaign, the Umniah Youth Unit offered students special discounts and a chance to participate in the ‘Spin to Win’ game. The campaign took place at the following universities: University of Jordan, Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Yarmouk University, Jordan University of Science and Technology, German Jordanian University, University of Petra, American University of Madaba, and the Hashemite University. After winning the seven game stations held on the sidelines of the Shababi Village, Umniah gave the students the opportunity to go home with valuable prizes and various gifts. “Based on the unprecedented successes of Shababi campaigns over the past five years, we have launched the Shababi Village campaign this year, a reflection of Umniah’s corporate identity which associates itself with the youth segment, and through which the company strives to understand and meet the needs of the youth category,” said Umniah Marketing Director Zaid Ibrahim. Umniah has also announced, during the Shababi Village campaign, the launch of The8Log Writing Competition, which gives students of Jordanian universities the opportunity to become one of the The8Log’s distinguished writers, by sending in Arabic content written on any the student’s topics of interest, including technology, cybersecurity, video games, sports, art, health, and others.
