Umniah Launches Fiber Service in East and North Tla’a Al Ali at Speeds of up to 1000 Mbps Amman, Jordan, 13 November 2019: Umniah, a subsidiary of Batelco Bahrain, has announced that its fiber-optic services for homes and businesses are now available in east and north Tla’a Al Ali in Amman, thereby increasing the total number of areas covered by these services to six areas, servicing 111,000 families. Tla’a Al Ali is one of the most populated areas of West Amman, and this expansion will include more than 31,000 families in the fiber services for homes and businesses, and at high speeds of up to 1000 Mbps, offering competitive prices, and a 48-hour installation period. Customers will also benefit from Umniah’s 24-hour support services to ensure they enjoy an unlimited internet experience. Umniah had announced less than a month ago the expansion of its fiber services in Tabarbour in north-east Amman, in addition to its plans for network expansion and higher speeds, and its readiness to launch the Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service for voice and video calling over the 4G network, with a total investment of JD100 million.
