Umniah Gold Sponsor for the Raneen First Educational Meeting, Honors Prominent Educators

Amman *** June 2018 As part of its strategy aimed at supporting the education sector; Umniah took over the Gold Sponsor for Raneen’s First Educational Meeting, which concluded its deliberations at the Crown Plaza Dead Sea Hotel recently. Support for this meeting emanates from Umniah’s conviction in the major role that Raneen Institution plays in motivating children’s imagination and building their basic life skills, such as critical thinking and effective communication. The Director of the Curricula Administration, Dr. Khawlah Abu Al-Haija, representing H.E. the Minister of Education, inaugurated the meeting’s work with a discussion session titled “Participative Education and its Effect in Confronting Contemporary Challenges.” The meeting, which lasted for one whole day, and in which an elite group of experts and educators participated, discussed a number of axes, manifest in employing social media in the educational process, investing various educational strategies inside the classroom to instill positive values, as well as presenting a group of inspiring experiences for teachers and presenting main educational practices implemented during the program, challenges, and recommendations. Commenting on this sponsorship, the Director of Umniah’s Institutional Communication and Marketing Section, Wajeeha Al-Husseini, said: “Umniah is considered a strong supporter and strategic partner of the educational sector in the kingdom. Our support today of the Raneen Educational Meeting affirms our commitment and desire to contribute to developing future generations through investment in advanced educational tools that are suitable for the educational process.” Al-Husseini highlighted Umniah’s eagerness to support Raneen project that aimed at employing creative skills for reading and listening in the educational process in order to crystallize an integrated educational system that focuses on developing these student skills in order to spread the culture of excellence and creativity in our schools. She added: “We at Umniah seek to contribute to raising the abilities of our students and provide the necessary training for their teachers. We also work as a group to establish a knowledge-based society.” For her part, Rawan Barakat, Raneen Institution Manager expressed her gratitude for the support provided by Umniah, starting with launching the Raneen Week for Audio Stories in 2018 and up to holding this meeting, highlighting Umniah’s pioneering role in supporting Jordanian entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas to develop startup companies through providing a suitable environment for them and their projects, for the purpose of reinforcing their opportunities for success. At the end of the meeting, Raneen Institution honored a number of outstanding teachers, and gave them prizes offered by Umniah as the golden sponsor of the Raneen Week for Audio Stories 2018.
