Umniah announces the opening of registration for The Tank

Amman, July 15, 2018: Umni­­­ah has announced the opening of registration for Jordanian entrepreneurs and start-ups to join The Tank: Umniah’s entrepreneurship and innovation incubator. The Tank, which was established under Royal guidance in 2014, aims to support entrepreneurial and innovative ideas in addition to providing support for emerging companies that display promising potential. In the first round, applications from companies will be screened after the submission of technical presentations for proposed ideas and projects through the following link: https://www.umniah.com/en/the-tank. Afterwards, the Seed Stars Amman will be launched on the 19th of this month. Finalists will participate in the second and final rounds via the presentation of their business models, and finally, the winning start-ups will be announced and a new season of The Tank will begin in August. The Tank represents a major transformation in maximizing the role of Umniah in enhancing entrepreneurship and innovation in the Kingdom. Over the past four years, this incubator has provided funding, training and consultation to more than 5,500 entrepreneurs for them to be able to expand their businesses and make them viable and income-generating. Umniah’s Marketing Director, Zaid Ibrahim stated, “Day after day, Umniah’s incubator demonstrates its great role in providing entrepreneurs with feedback on their ideas as well as advice, guidance and technical and financial support throughout the duration of their stay at the incubator, and until they are able to rely on themselves to launch their startups to the local and even regional market.” Ibrahim added that The Tank also connects its entrepreneurs and start-ups with international investors by providing them with opportunities to participate in international conferences and present their ideas and projects to these investors.
