February 23, 2022 – Amman, Jordan: Umniah, a subsidiary of Batelco Bahrain, sponsored the Third Arab Banking Cyber Security Forum, which took place on February 22 and 23, 2022, under the patronage of Central Bank of Jordan Governor H.E. Dr. Adel Sharkas titled; “Cyber Security and Bank Stability Challenge & Digital Forensic Readiness”
Umniah’s sponsorship to the forum, which was organized by the Union of Arab Banks in cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan and the Association of Banks in Jordan, is directly in line with the company’s leading role as a predominant provider of cybersecurity solutions that allow both public and private organizations especially financial institutions, to protect against cyber-threats efficiently and effectively, in addition to offer a wide range of business solutions.
Umniah provides information security and protection services for companies through its Security Operation Center (SOC), including Consultancy and Assessment services in information security, Threat Monitoring and Hunting (Managed SOC), Clean Internet Services, Network and Data Protection, End-User Protection, Access Management and Workload and Cloud Protection.

The forum, which was attended by cybersecurity experts from local and foreign banks as well as specialized government agencies that play a key role in advancing cybersecurity in the Kingdom, focused its discussions on cybersecurity and the impact of cyberattacks on institutions and countries in general, and banks and the banking system in particular. Attendees were also able to exchange cybersecurity experiences on a local, regional and international level as a way of advancing the efficiency of the Arab banking system and staying up to date with the latest global developments.
