To date, the company will donate JD60,000, which will be deposited directly into the Ministry of Health’s account. Commenting about the company’s pledge and the generosity of its clients, Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara spoke of the depth of his gratitude and appreciation to customers, who donated their personal umnicoins in response to the global pandemic. Shatara went on to say, “Since the government announcement about the precautionary measures to stop the spread of coronavirus; Umniah quickly reacted in a number of ways, including offering financial donations, harnessing our potential in the service of the educational sector, which is a priority for the company, as well as actions to support the efforts of national institutions, including the Ministry of Health.” Umniah previously donated $50,000 to the Ministry of Health for the purchase of respirators, as well as provided free browsing to its customers through Darsak, its electronic learning network in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, without deducting from their balances or Internet packages.
