The Tank Concludes its Annual Activities

, 7 December 2022 – The Tank, Umniah’s business incubator, concluded the current year’s activities and events by hosting “The Tank- A Journey to Success”, an event attended by a group of local and regional businessmen, investors, and supportive of the Kingdom’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. in which The Tank celebrated its success and the journey full of achievements achieved by its incubated startups.

In preparation for the event, the Tank’s team, along with several experts and investors, reviewed the ideas and projects that The Tank’s 20 startups shall present to a select group of local and regional investors and business leaders. This was followed by a ‘pitchathon’ in which 8 selected startups were chosen by an expert judging committee to present their projects at “The Tank- A Journey to Success” event.

The 20 startups that participated in the event are Jaafar Shop, Martha Education, SpaceDeco, 7asaleh, Engegesoft, ScholaScope, Ejarkom, FANNI AI, Bloom Cart, ITS, Math Achievers, Living Mosaic, Edurobotics, Medlinic, Cookies BIS, Tapflow, YALAUNN LTD, Codyy, TABSM, Sellotion.

Wajeeha Al Husseini, Communications Director at Umniah acknowledged the achievements of The Tank, from its establishment in 2014 till present is a great source of pride and honor, as these achievements have contributed to the kingdom’s efforts to create a stimulating environment for entrepreneurship, as well as enhancing Jordan’s presence on the global entrepreneurship map.
Al Husseini added that many startups that were incubated at The Tank have written great success stories and have been able to transform their ideas into thriving businesses, emphasizing that the incubator provides many integrated and supportive services to entrepreneurs in a variety of fields.

Many of these include providing office space, administrative and financial training, financial and legal services, intellectual property information, networking, financial support, and guidance in areas such as marketing, human and financial resources, sales, developing business plans, and other services that assist them in turning their ideas into viable businesses.

Al Husseini congratulated the startups that graduated from The Tank’s current season, noting that the purpose of this event is to help incubated startups present their projects to a group of investors and offering them the opportunity to network with them to seek seed funding.

Al Husseini presented The Tank’s achievements, noting that the number of startups that have benefited from Umniah’s incubation services this year has reached 20, while the total number of startups that have benefited from the incubator has surpassed 65 since 2018.

Al Husseini went on to add that, The Tank has held many local and international partnerships over the years to support the Kingdom’s business environment, as well as opportunities for startups to compete in local and international competitions. In addition, the Tank has hosted workshops and discussion sessions on a variety of topics, including the most recent developments in the world of business and entrepreneurship.
To end the event, a graduation ceremony was held to honor the startups.
