The First in Jordan Umniah Rolls Out Self-Service Machines

November 30, 2020 – Amman, Jordan: In a move that is in line with its digital transformation strategy, Umniah has announced the launch of its exclusive self-service machines, the first telecommunications company in Jordan to provide such a service. This latest offering is part of the company’s continuous efforts to presents its customers with the latest and most innovative integrated digital communication services around the clock. The service is a pioneering one in the Jordanian telecommunications sector, and is on par with digital development on a global level, which is witnessing stiff competition to serve customers efficiently, securely and effectively. Through Umniah’s new self-service machines, customers can now manage their own accounts, including rapid payment options, renewing their subscriptions and paying the bills for their mobile or Internet plans.

 

Commenting on the rollout of the new service, Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara said that the company would continue to provide its customers with the most innovative digital technologies and communications services available. He went on to add, “Umniah, with its unrivaled expertise and experience in the sector, provides extensive opportunities to establish a digital community that enjoys the highest levels of customer satisfaction.”

 

Shatara explained that the self-service machines are an integral part of Umniah’s strategic vision to transform itself from a traditional operator of telecommunications services into a digital operator, a move that supports the country’s efforts to build an effective digital economy. He also spoke of Umniah’s various services and platforms launched to advance this concept while simultaneously reinforcing its pioneering position in the Jordanian telecommunications market.

 

Umniah’s self-service machines are available around the clock, seven days a week in 13 different locations, with an additional seven machines located at Umniah showrooms that are operational during business hours, from 8 am to 6 pm from Sunday to Thursday. Additional services are expected to be added to the machines in the near future, including the eFawateercom service for the payment of water bills, electricity bills, the payment of traffic violations, social security fees, as well as the company’s UWallet services that include cash withdrawal, deposits and transfers and payments from the wallet’s balance.
