Umniah announced its sponsorship of the first European Union-Jordan Business Forum, held under the patronage of HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
The forum, organized by the European Union Delegation and the Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA) in partnership with the Ministry of Investment, aimed to boost economic cooperation, encourage investment opportunities, and strengthen trade relations between the European Union and Jordan.
Faisal Qamhiyah, CEO of Umniah, said, “Our sponsorship of this event reflects our belief in Jordan’s fertile business environment and its potential for partnerships with the EU. We are committed to supporting economic modernization and creating attractive infrastructure for investment.”
He added that the forum’s role focuses on key issues related to investment and bilateral trade between Jordan and the European Union motivated Umniah’s presence as the exclusive telecommunications sponsor of this event.
Representing HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, and Minister of State for Public Sector Modernization, H.E. Mr. Nasser Shraideh, inaugurated the forum. The event saw substantial participation from Jordanian and European businesspeople and entrepreneurs in green energy, digital economy, and other industry leaders. Government officials, investors, major company representatives, and experts from various vital sectors in Jordan were also in attendance.
The first EU-Jordan Business Forum offers a unique platform for business leaders, decision-makers, and sector experts to exchange ideas and collaborate towards a prosperous economic future for both Jordan and Europe.
