Al-Khair Campaign

June 19, 2018 – Amman, Jordan: During the holy month of Ramadan, Umniah joined worshippers celebrating Laylat Al-Qadr, with the company’s youth team distributing prayer breads to worshippers at Al-Husseini Mosque in the center of Amman. In celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, Umniah sponsored the band Drum Jam at an event held at City Mall, which was broadcasted live on Melody FM. The celebration also included a full roster of activities and entertainment options, including the chance to win valuable prizes such as charge cards, Wavo smart lines and packages as well as subscriptions to beIN sports channels. Umniah’s youth team was also on hand to distribute balloons and chocolates to Umniah’s stands at City Mall and Al-Istiqlal Mall, where visitors had the chance to take part in fun activities in a friendly family atmosphere. Speaking about the celebrations, Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara said, “Umniah always takes an active role in Jordanian society, celebrating all social, religious, and national occasions. This is one of the company’s main pillars, and is personified by Umniah’s slogan, “Belong,” and our conviction in the importance of being involved and reinforcing the culture of belonging.” Shatara added: “Our participation in national holidays and observances is the company’s way of showing its appreciation to the people of Jordan for their ongoing trust, choosing and recognizing Umniah for outstanding services and offerings.” Shatara said that Umniah continuously strives to remain invested and involved with the communities in which it operates through holidays and celebrations such as Laylat Al-Qadr and Eid Al-Fitr. The Umniah Al-Khair campaign was launch at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, where the company renewed its sponsorship agreement with Tkiyet Um Ali. Through the agreement, Umniah sponsored 31 poverty-stricken families throughout the Kingdom by distributing a food package to each family once a month for an entire year. Umniah Al-Khair also sponsored an annual iftar organized by Tkiyet Um Ali, as well as other iftars in cooperation with Tkiyet Um Ali in Zarqa, Dulail and Russaifeh, as well as an iftar for orphans in Wihdat.
