Umniah Renews its ISO 22301: 2019 Business Continuity Management System and Information Security Management ISO 27001:2013

April 4, 2022 – Amman, Jordan: Umniah announced that it recently met the requirements to renew the International Standard for Business Continuity Management System ISO 22301:2019 and the Information Security Management ISO 27001:2013 certificates.

The renewal of the certificates was the result of the audit, which was conducted by the global leader in independent testing, inspection and certification services TUV, and showed that Umniah’s business continuity and information security management systems conform to international standards.

The ISO 22301: 2019 certificate is granted to organizations that manage and uphold their business continuity by planning to meet and overcome unexpected challenges. Meanwhile, the ISO 27001:2013 certificate signifies a robust information security infrastructure, particularly as organizations evolve towards more digital-centric services, in addition to an organization’s ability to plan and achieve its strategic vision at a steady pace.

Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara said that the renewal of the ISO 22301 certificate reaffirms the global recognition of Umniah’s rigorous commitment to global best practices in business management. In addition to reflecting Umniah’s ability to identify risks and develop response mechanisms in cases of business malfunction, Umniah’s approach prioritizes the integrity of the company’s assets while simultaneously minimizing losses.

Equally important, added Shatara, is the renewal of the ISO 27001 certification for information security management, which further builds on the stellar security infrastructure established by Umniah’s Security Operations Center (SOC). He underscored the SOC’s commitment to protecting clients from the array of cybersecurity and privacy threats leveled against them and the continued investments being made in leveraging the right knowledge and technologies to achieve that goal.

Earlier this year, Umniah was recognized with the International Standard for Security of Credit Card Data certificate, PCI DSS:3.2.1, which confirms the company’s application of quality systems in its work.
