As part of its commitment to empowering Jordanian youth, Umniah has joined the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program—an initiative by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) and the Digital Skills Association (DigiSkills), under the Youth, Technology, and Jobs (YTJ) Project. This strategic collaboration aims to equip young Jordanians with in-demand digital skills, enhancing their employability and preparing them for the jobs of the future.
As part of the initiative, Umniah will offer employees advanced, hands-on training aligned with rapid tech developments to boost their efficiency and support digital transformation capabilities.
Faisal Qamhiyah, CEO of Umniah, highlighted the importance of investing in digital skills to strengthen the company’s competitiveness and support its digital transformation. He said, “At Umniah, we see employee skill development as a key factor to driving digital transformation and boosting efficiency. The OJT program will provide our team with the knowledge and tools to remain up to date with rapid tech advancements, enhancing performance, innovation, and the overall customer experience.”
Qamhiyah praised MoDEE and DigiSkills for supporting Jordan’s digital transformation. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with Umniah’s commitment to developing a digitally skilled workforce, delivering exceptional services, and boosting competitiveness in the telecom sector.
Diana Saidi, Director of HR & Corporate Affairs at Umniah, said the program offers a valuable opportunity to enhance employees’ digital skills. Reaffirming Umniah’s stance, Saidi stated that Umniah is committed to providing top training opportunities that support professional growth and development in digital fields.
Saidi noted that Umniah’s participation in the program reflects its commitment to fostering an innovative work environment and equipping its team to meet future demands.

In its current phase, the program targets 669 young Jordanians and professionals, offering specialized hands-on training based on market needs. Twelve companies have been selected as the first grant recipients, enabling them to invest in developing their employees’ digital skills and improving efficiency in digital fields.
The OJT program is a strategic initiative by MoDEE to boost the technology sector and support Jordan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. It offers grants of up to USD 300,000 to help companies build a sustainable future in the digital economy.
