Since then, we have organized a plethora of initiatives targeting both sectors,” added Shatara, highlighting a number of projects launched by Umniah over the past decade that reflect its commitment to the local community. Shatara lauded the important role played by Al-Wehdat and highlighted the club’s various achievements and conquered championships since its inception in 1956. He also underscored the remarkable skillset exhibited by Al-Wehdat and their unique competitive edge, both of which were factors that drove the operator to support it. “The Green Giant, as this venerated club is known, has an extensive track record of achievements that have garnered the team a considerable base of support. We are confident that this impressive legacy will only continue growing with this partnership with Umniah,” added Shatara. Shatara also noted that Umniah will sign a similar sponsorship agreement with Al-Faisaly Sports Club immediately following the Eid holiday, highlighting the unique status of the club and its impressive legacy that goes back to 1932. The President of Al-Wehdat SC, Yousef Al-Sqour, expressed his pride at the signing of this partnership agreement with Umiah, who is an innovative force in the field of local telecoms and has made a wealth of contributions to the local community, particularly in the arenas of sports and youth. He also emphasized that this agreement is a shining model of constructive partnerships between the private sector and sports clubs, which he hopes other companies will follow for the greater good of the local sports scene. It is worth noting that this agreement also includes the launch of a special Wedat Line, a percentage of the revenues of which will be allocated to support the club. END
