Umniah Drives Earth Day Impact Through Ajloun Cleanup Initiative

Demonstrating its strong commitment to sustainability, Umniah by Beyon, recognized as the best mobile network in Jordan, organized a volunteer event to mark Earth Day. The initiative brought employees together for a hands-on field experience aimed at making a meaningful impact on the local environment. 

The activity was carried out in collaboration with the Princess Taghreed Foundation for Development and Training. A group of Umniah employees took part in a forest cleanup in Kfaranja, located in Ajloun, one of Jordan’s most important natural areas. The initiative focused on direct, on-the-ground action while promoting environmental awareness through practical engagement. 

This effort aligns with national priorities championed by His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, which place environmental protection at the heart of Jordan’s strategic agenda. It underscores sustainability as a key pillar of development and a shared responsibility requiring collaboration between institutions and individuals. 

Beyond its environmental impact, the initiative reflects Umniah’s broader vision of empowering its employees to actively contribute to positive social change. Through such programs, the company aims to foster a culture of responsibility, engagement, and belonging, while creating lasting, meaningful impact. 

The initiative also comes as Umniah continues to strengthen its position in the telecommunications sector. The company was ranked the best mobile network in Jordan by Ookla, the global leader in connectivity intelligence and the company behind the “Speedtest” platform, for the second half of 2025. This recognition is based on an independent analysis of more than 23 million data points reflecting real user experiences across the Kingdom, highlighting the strength and consistency of its network performance. 

Commenting on the initiative, Dina Al-Daoud, Director of Brand and Corporate Communications at Umniah, said, “At Umniah, we see sustainability as a daily practice embedded in how we operate and make decisions. Since launching our sustainability program in 2022, we have been integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into our operations to ensure a meaningful and lasting impact.
