Umniah’s The Tank Announces Registration for the Fourth Season of the Incubation Program

Amman, February 3, 2023 – Umniah’s business incubator, The Tank, announced the start of the registration for the fourth season of its startup incubation program, which will take place from January 31st to February 19th.

The Tank will accept applicants who wish to develop their entrepreneurial ideas and turn them into competitive projects, provided that the project is in its early stages (1-3 years) and that the founder is over the age of 18. The project should relate to the following topics: blockchain technology, FinTech, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data science. The project should also support 5G technology and should achieve at least one of the sustainable development goals.
A group of 20 startups that meet these conditions will be selected, after passing a series of evaluations and selection procedures. They will undergo a 5-day training camp, after which presentations will be held where 8 companies will be selected to benefit from the incubator’s services for a whole year.

The Tank offers startups everything they need to professionally develop their projects as they progress through their entrepreneurial journey, accelerating their transition to becoming more viable projects through a variety of services such as specialized workshops, counseling and mentoring sessions, networking opportunities, international reach, ease of access to local and regional funding, providing office space, easing the trade certificate process, and expanding into new markets.

Umniah’s Chief Commercial Officer, Zaid Al-Ibrahim, commented on the new season’s launch and emphasized the Tank’s importance in enhancing economic growth opportunities by developing an entrepreneurial environment by supporting emerging companies, which account for a large portion of total companies operating in the Kingdom. They accomplish this by providing integrated and extensive entrepreneurship content that enriches the entrepreneur’s journey and assists in moving to new levels and expanding work opportunities. He went on to say that the program will include a variety of activities and events that will support the program’s primary objectives.

Al-Ibrahim stated that after experts and specialists evaluate the applications, the incubation program accepts 20 startups, after which the owners of these companies embark on an entrepreneurial journey that supports them in achieving their goals, and that many startup owners and Jordanian entrepreneurs have seen success after receiving the incubator’s services.

The Tank will select startups for the new season based on a set timeline that includes several stages such as application submissions, evaluation, presentations, and interviews, ultimately ending in the selection of companies that will benefit from the incubation services and a training camp.
