Umniah’s The 8Log Continues Enriching Arabic Language on the Internet

Fourth Edition of the Writing Competition for University Students is Launched

March 12 2023 – In light of continuing to enrich Arabic language on the Internet; for the fourth year in a row, the 8Log blog has launched its writing competition for Jordanian university students. The competition is open to those who have a passion for writing in Arabic and interest on various subjects that are related to technology, leadership, sports, and entertainment as a way to motivate students to share their ideas and opinions on the blog.

Students who wish to participate in this competition must submit one article, not exceeding 500 words, before the deadline 25/04/2023 via email the8log@umniah.com. The article should be about one of the following topics: technology, cybersecurity, financial services, entrepreneurship, entertainment, sports, travel, art, culture, and professional advice.
The 8Log team will review the submissions throughout the period of April 25th to the 30th. Finalists will be given a chance to join a training workshop and the winners will be announced at the final ceremony on May 9th.

Chief Commercial Officer Zaid Al-Ibrahim stated: “We believe that Jordanian youth are our inspiration and partners in development and success. Through the blog, we have found talented students passionate about writing in Arabic, whose work we have published on the platform.”
Al-Ibrahim emphasized the great success the blog achieved since its launch in 2019, becoming a reference to many readers, including university students and researchers due to the varying content. Last year, the blog had over one million views, while the articles published exceeded one thousand, covering numerous topics.

The 8Log is the first blog in the Jordanian telecommunications sector that provides specialized Arabic content on the Internet and empowers youth. The blog provides technical information on many topics of interest to the Jordanian youth, sheds light on innovative Jordanian initiative, and shares success stories in the world of entrepreneurship.
