Umniah has launched the electronic “Self-Authentication” service using the “Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC)” system, designed to simplify prepaid mobile line registration and authentication in compliance with Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) regulations.
This service simplifies registration by allowing prepaid subscribers to securely activate and authenticate their lines directly through the Umniah app or via authorized sub-agents, using their ID, digital ID (Sanad), or passport.
This service represents a significant step toward facilitating electronic transactions, ensuring a more secure and efficient authentication process. It also improves the reliability of mobile line registrations through electronic identity verification, reducing the need for traditional paperwork.
