Umniah by Beyon Transfers Student Support Fund’s Profit Share, Reinforcing a Strategic Partnership in Support of Education

January 2026

Umniah by Beyon announced the transfer of the Student Support Fund’s profit share, arising from its shareholding in the company and in line with Umniah’s annual operating results. The transfer reflects the strength of the partnership between the two parties, translating the company’s solid financial performance into sustained support for education, while reinforcing Umniah’s position as one of the fastest-growing telecommunications providers in Jordan and its ongoing transformation into a modern digital telecommunications company following the launch of its new brand identity.

The 2025 profit distribution reflects Umniah’s commitment to creating sustainable social impact, particularly through supporting the education sector and empowering students. The Student Support Fund finances scholarships, grants, and university loans for students enrolled in public universities, enabling them to continue their education while easing the financial burden on their families. This support plays a vital role in retaining high-achieving students and providing them with meaningful opportunities to pursue higher education, in line with Jordan’s continued focus on investing in human capital.

In parallel, Umniah continues to strengthen its strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education to advance Jordan’s digital learning ecosystem. Over recent years, the company has connected approximately 3,500 public schools to high-quality internet services and implemented electronic connectivity projects and technology solutions that have enhanced the Ministry’s readiness for digital examinations, including the future infrastructure for the electronic Tawjihi.

Commenting on the announcement, Umniah’s Chief Executive Officer, Faisal Al Jalahma, said, “Our partnership with the Student Support Fund and the Ministry of Education is built on a shared, long-term vision that places education at the heart of Jordan’s progress. The distribution of a portion of our retained earnings is a natural extension of this commitment and reflects our dedication to supporting an education ecosystem that keeps pace with digital transformation.”

Commenting on the occasion, H.E. Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, expressed his pride in the depth of cooperation and partnership between the two sides, particularly in relation to the education sector, during the handover of the Student Support Fund’s profit share.

He highlighted the wide range of joint initiatives implemented by both parties, especially those focused on leveraging modern technology to enhance the efficiency of the educational process and support the Ministry’s efforts to develop the education sector in line with the objectives and outcomes of the National Strategy for Education Development adopted by the Government and implemented by the Ministry.

Dr. Mahafzah also extended his appreciation to Umniah for its continued partnership and its role in supporting students’ access to education, expressing his hope for the sustained growth of this long-standing collaboration in the future.

Umniah reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to advancing digital solutions that strengthen the education sector and empower students, in line with the Kingdom’s aspirations for a more advanced and inclusive digital future.
