Faisal Al Jalahma brings to the table 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors. He has held several senior leadership roles within Batelco and the Beyon Group, where he played a key role in the group’s transformation into a diversified digital entity and led the organizational transformation that resulted in the creation of BNET.
Earlier in his career, Faisal served as Director of Finance, IT, and Human Resources at the Bahrain Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, where he led internal digital transformation and contributed to Bahrain’s Fourth National Telecommunications Plan.
In addition to his executive role, Faisal serves as Chairman of the Digital City Development Company and TOTAL CX, and is a board member of Dhiraagu in the Maldives and Gulf Air Group. He holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde and has completed executive education programs at Harvard and London Business School.
Within his role at Umniah, Faisal is focused on extending the Group’s mandate of delivering innovative digital and telecommunications services that create lasting value.

Chief Commercial Officer, Umniah by Beyon
Khaldoun Sweidan brings more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with expertise in marketing and sales strategy, product development, and customer experience excellence. He has built a strong track record of leadership in designing customer-focused solutions and driving growth in competitive markets.
As Chief Commercial Officer, Khaldoun is responsible for leading all commercial business units at Umniah by Beyon, crafting cohesive strategies that accelerate growth and reinforce the company’s position as a market leader. His work ensures that Umniah by Beyon continues to deliver innovative and customer-centric services as part of the Beyon Group.
Since joining Umniah by Beyon in 2005 as a Call Center Team Leader, Khaldoun has advanced through several leadership positions, including his appointment as Commercial Mobile Director in 2021. In each role, he has demonstrated consistent success in market expansion, team development, and strengthening customer loyalty.
Khaldoun holds an MBA from Middle East University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Applied Science University..
Chief Financial Officer, Umniah by Beyon
Samer Taha is a finance executive with more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry across the Middle East and the United States. His expertise spans financial management, strategic planning, and corporate governance.
As Chief Financial Officer at Umniah by Beyon, Samer oversees the accounting, treasury, financial planning, revenue assurance, fraud prevention, and procurement functions. His leadership ensures financial efficiency and alignment with Umniah by Beyon’s strategic goals within the Beyon Group.
Before joining Umniah by Beyon in 2020, Samer held leadership positions at Etisalat UAE, Zain Jordan, and CenturyTel in the United States, where he built robust financial systems and implemented cost optimization frameworks.
Samer holds a BSc in Management from the University of Jordan and an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He also completed the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago.

Ehab Hafez is a senior technology leader with over 25 years of experience driving digital transformation and innovation across telecom and technology sectors in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. He has a proven record of delivering large-scale transformation programs and enabling digital excellence through strategic leadership.
As Chief Digital and IT Officer at Umniah by Beyon, Ehab spearheads the company’s digital transformation, leading initiatives that enhance customer experience, accelerate enterprise digitalization, and position Umniah by Beyon as a regional pioneer in AI-driven and data-enabled services.
Before joining Umniah by Beyon in 2023, Ehab held senior leadership roles at Oracle, Zain, and Scala, where he successfully led multinational technology teams and complex transformation programs. His expertise covers digital strategy, change management, and aligning business objectives with cutting-edge technology.
Ehab holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering, an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, and an Extended Diploma in International Business and Strategy from Westford University College. He also completed executive programs at Harvard, INSEAD, and the Telecoms & Tech Academy in London. He is a Certified PMP and a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Iyad Jabr brings more than 22 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industries, specializing in enterprise marketing, product management, and B2B solutions. His strategic insight and commercial acumen have contributed to the growth of leading telecom operators across the region.
As Chief Business Officer at Umniah by Beyon, Iyad oversees the company’s enterprise business strategy, guiding initiatives that enhance value creation, customer satisfaction, and innovation across corporate and government segments. Before joining Umniah by Beyon in 2023, Iyad served as Enterprise Marketing Director at Zain Kuwait and previously held senior roles at Tawasul Telecom and Ooredoo Kuwait, where he led B2B marketing, product management, and internet and data services.
Iyad holds an MBA from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.

Yusuf Sater is a seasoned technology and engineering leader with more than two decades of experience in the telecommunications industry.

As Chief Technology Officer at Umniah, Yusuf leads the ongoing evolution of the company’s network infrastructure to ensure exceptional service quality for consumers, enterprise, and global clients. Before joining Umniah, Yusuf held several senior positions at Batelco, where he played a key role in transforming mobile and fixed operations, IT systems, and strategic network planning. Yusuf holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and Management from Northumbria University in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Napier University, UK. Amjad Frouqa brings extensive experience in the telecom and IT sectors, where he has led diverse functions spanning technical operations, planning, and project management. His expertise lies in establishing and evolving organizational frameworks that reinforce security, efficiency, and resilience.
As Director of Quality, Business Continuity, and Information Security at Umniah by Beyon, Amjad leads mission-critical functions that ensure service continuity, cyber resilience, and compliance with global standards. He has also been instrumental in creating Umniah by Beyon’s Project Management Office, Cyber Security Operations Center, and Compliance function.
Before joining Umniah by Beyon in 2007, Amjad served as Technical and IT Director at Batelco Jordan and held earlier positions with the Royal Jordanian Air Force. His broad technical and managerial background has enabled him to design and implement cross-functional systems that successfully enhance organizational performance.
Amjad holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University of Science and Technology, USA, along with executive certifications from Harvard Business School and the University of Oxford.
Director of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, Umniah by Beyon
Diana Saidi is an HR and corporate affairs professional with over a decade of experience developing people-focused strategies that drive engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness. Since joining Umniah by Beyon in 2011, she has played a vital role in strengthening the company culture and aligning HR strategy with business growth.
As Director of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, Diana leads initiatives that foster employee engagement, talent development, and leadership empowerment. She also champions workplace wellbeing and internal communications, ensuring Umniah by Beyon continues to evolve as a collaborative and inclusive organization within the Beyon Group.
Earlier in her career, Diana managed the Talent Acquisition Department at Umniah by Beyon and oversaw “The Tank,” the company’s business incubator supporting Jordanian startups. Her experience also includes leading large-scale recruitment projects across industries such as telecom, oil & gas, hospitality, FMCG, and real estate.
Diana holds a double Bachelor’s degree in English and German Languages from the University of Jordan.
Director of Legal Affairs and Secretary of the Board of Directors, Umniah by Beyon
Yazan Al-Hyasat is a legal professional with more than 20 years of experience across diverse sectors, including telecommunications, aviation, retail, automotive, and pharmaceuticals. He specializes in corporate law, compliance, and governance, supporting organizations in navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
As Director of Legal Affairs and Secretary of the Board of Directors at Umniah by Beyon, Yazan oversees all legal operations and ensures regulatory compliance and governance excellence. He provides strategic legal counsel to senior leadership and supports board-level decision-making within the Beyon Group framework.
Before joining Umniah by Beyon, Yazan held key legal positions, including Senior Corporate Counsel at Hikma Pharmaceuticals, Senior Legal Advisor at Toyota Motor Corporation in Jeddah, Manager and In-House Counsel at Royal Jordanian Airlines, and Corporate Litigation Counsel at Coca-Cola Jordan.
Yazan holds a Master’s degree in International Trade Law from the National University of Malaysia, a Higher Diploma in Private Law from Amman Arab University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Applied Science University. He has also completed specialized legal training programs both in Jordan and abroad.

Samer Al-Rawabdeh is a telecom professional with over 24 years of experience in regulatory affairs and government relations. He is recognized for his expertise in telecom licensing, compliance, policy development, and spectrum management, ensuring alignment between corporate strategy and regulatory frameworks.
As Director of Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations at Umniah by Beyon, Samer leads engagement with national authorities and industry stakeholders to ensure compliance, advocate for effective regulation, and support the company’s growth strategy as part of the Beyon Group.
Before joining Umniah by Beyon, Samer served as Director of Regulatory Affairs at Orange Jordan, where he led initiatives in regulatory policy, quality of service, and interconnection. His career also includes extensive experience in managing telecommunications law, spectrum allocation, and international regulatory relations.
Samer holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, as well as international telecommunications certifications.

Dina Aldaoud is an accomplished marketing and communications leader with more than 20 years of international experience across telecommunications, energy, consulting, nonprofit, and luxury retail. She is recognized for uniting strategic insight with creativity to deliver marketing communications that engage communities, inspire trust, and accelerate growth.
As Director of Brand and Corporate Communications at Umniah by Beyon, Dina is responsible for shaping the company’s brand and communications strategy. She leads corporate and marketing communications, media relations, digital engagement, CSR, and sponsorships, ensuring that Umniah’s voice remains bold, human, and future-ready— reflecting its purpose of accelerating the digital future for better lives and prosperity.
Before joining Umniah by Beyon, Dina’s career had been shaped by multinational experience, collaborating with global teams across Europe, Asia Pacific, the United States, and the Middle East. This exposure has given her the insight to design communications that transcend borders while her senior leadership roles in Jordan established her as a catalyst for growth, innovation, and excellence in the region.
Dina holds an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Wichita State University, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Yarmouk University, Jordan. Internal Audit Director, Umniah by Beyon
Ali Abu Mailesh is a seasoned telecom and consultancy professional with over 23 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, financial analysis, and governance. Throughout his career, he has developed a deep understanding of financial and business consultation, focusing on improving organizational efficiency, mitigating risk, and driving sustainable performance.
As Internal Audit Director at Umniah by Beyon, Ali oversees audit strategy and governance to ensure transparency, accountability, and operational excellence across the organization. His work supports Umniah by Beyon’s commitment to integrity and compliance as part of the Beyon Group.
Before joining Umniah by Beyon, Ali held senior roles in audit and financial advisory, where he advised on strategic planning, performance optimization, and corporate governance frameworks. His extensive experience enables him to provide valuable insights that strengthen both control and innovation within the business.
Ali holds an MBA from the University of Jordan and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), as well as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Chairman
Abdulla Bukhowa currently serves as Umniah’s Chairman of the Board and has been serving on Beyon’s Board of Directors since 2020 as a representative of the Social Insurance Organization (SIO). He was elected by the shareholders at the AGM in 2023 as a Non-Executive Independent Director for 3 years.
Bukhowa has been the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company since July 2021. Previously, Bukhowa held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank, Bahrain, established in 1920 as the first bank in the country and the Arabian Gulf region. He also held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank in Doha from January 2017 to March 2019. He was responsible for leading and implementing the overall strategy of the Bank. Bukhowa joined Standard Chartered Bank in September 2010 as Bahrain’s Country Head of Global Markets and co-head of Wholesale Bank. In December 2014 he was given the responsibility for leading both the Financial Markets and Corporate and Institutional Banking segments. Bukhowa has over 21 years of experience which includes being Head of Portfolio Management at the Central Bank of Bahrain, and roles at Reuters and Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco). He holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Texas, USA.
He is currently a Board member in the Bahrain Association of Banks, Future Generations Reserve, National Motors Company, and Tasheelat Insurance Services (TISCO).
Vice Chairman of the Board – Umniah Chief Executive Officer Beyon & Batelco
Andrew Kvålseth was appointed as Beyon Chief Executive Officer in August 2024 to lead the Group’s operations in Bahrain and internationally.
Andrew brings over 20 years of experience gained across diverse fields including telecoms, online marketplaces, e-commerce and digital transformation. Before joining Beyon, he was EVP Growth & Investments and CIO of Schibsted, an international media and online marketplace group, where he also ran new ventures.
Previously Andrew was Group Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo and prior to that held CEO and various CxO roles at Telenor Group. During his tenure at Telenor, Andrew concurrently founded and was CEO of Line Mobile.
Andrew holds an MBA from Oxford University, and a BBA from Wisconsin School of Business.

Shaikh Bader serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Umniah Mobile Company PLC. Shaikh Bader has over 25 years of experience across diverse fields including People Management, Communications, and Sustainability which serve him well in his role as Beyon’s Chief Communications & Sustainability Officer.
Previously, Shaikh Bader held several managerial and executive roles in Batelco, having joined the company in 2010. Currently, he is responsible for Beyon’s Corporate and Marketing Communications, Beyon Creative Lab, and Sustainability Functions.
Prior to Batelco, Shaikh Bader worked in Aluminum Bahrain (Alba), where he led the Human Resources and Communication functions.
Shaikh Bader holds a BA in Business Administration from New England College and a Master of Science in Management from Boston University, USA. He also completed leadership and executive development programs in the Leadership Trust (UK), and Harvard Business School.
Board Member at Umniah Chief Operating Officer at Batelco
Maitham Abdulla serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Umniah Mobile Company PLC. Maitham was appointed to the role of Batelco Bahrain Chief Operating Officer in 2022, with the responsibility to develop & grow the telecommunications services for the government, enterprise, global connectivity, and consumer sectors.
Previously, Maitham was the General Manager of the Consumer Division since 2020. He brings over 15 years of experience in digital transformation, telecom product development, mobile & fixed technology, Data Centers, and content services.
Maitham has a long track record of achievements in various leadership positions including leading the introduction of Fiber to the Home in Bahrain, the first introduction of TIII Data Centers in Bahrain, the commercial launch of 5G, and the many transformational strategic programmes.
Maitham has an MBA in Marketing & Business Management from Al-Ahlia University and a BSc in Management Information Systems from NYIT as well as several professional qualifications in leadership and the telecommunication domain.

Reem Altajer is a Member of the Board of Directors of Umniah Mobile Company PLC. Reem was appointed as Beyon CFO as of May 2023, having held the GM Finance role at Batelco since 2022.
Having joined Batelco in 2004, Reem has gained extensive experience through several roles including Internal Audit Manager, Subsidiaries Finance Manager, and Director of Treasury, Planning and Assurance. Prior to joining Batelco, she worked with Ernst & Young as an external auditor.
Reem holds a Fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Investor Relations Officer.

Rashid Mohamed serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Umniah Mobile Company in addition to being the General Manager of Technology at Batelco Bahrain as of 2022, having held the position of General Manager of Networks since 2018. Rashid’s responsibilities include driving the continuous development of Batelco’s Networks and IT solutions and ensuring superior quality of service for Batelco’s consumers and business customers.
Rashid is a qualified Bahraini engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the telecommunication field. Since joining Batelco he has held several key management positions in various areas including Mobile Network development, Fixed Operations as well as leading the Strategy role for Network and IT to deliver the latest digital technologies.
He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering & Management from Northumbria University, UK, and a BSc in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Napier University, UK, as well as a number of professional qualifications in the telecommunication domain.

Jehan Hasan is the Director Strategic Planning & Projects at Beyon, having joined the Company in 2019. Jehan is also a member of the Board of Directors of Umniah Mobile Company PLC and AlHulool Mobile Payments.
With over 18 years of experience in investment and strategy, Jehan is responsible for leading strategy planning for Beyon Group of companies. Prior to joining Beyon, Jehan held the role of Assistant Vice President Group Strategy at Bank ABC, with her responsibilities including assisting with driving Bank ABC’s organic and inorganic strategy.
Jehan holds a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business from Concordia University and has also completed Strategy Specialization courses at Harvard Business School.
