إيلون ماسك يعلّق صفقة شراء تويتر مؤقتاً بسبب الحسابات المزيّفة

ديناصور تك– أعلن إيلون ماسك على تويتر أنه علّق صفقة استحواذه على تويتر مؤقتاً حتى تقدم الشركة بيانات تدعم زعمها بأن نسبة الحسابات المزيفة على المنصة أقل من 5% من مجموع مستخدمي تويتر البالغ عددهم 229 مليون مستخدم.

يشار إلى أن سعر سهم تويتر انخفض بنسبة وصلت لـ 20% بعد إعلان ماسك هذا الخبر، ليتراجع بشكل أكبر تزامناً مع الانخفاض العام الحاصل أصلاً لأسهم شركات التكنولوجيا مؤخراً.

الشركات الناشئة في المنطقة حصدت استثمارات بقيمة 299 مليون دولار في آذار

ديناصور تك– استطاعت الشركات الناشئة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط. كذلك شمال أفريقيا جذب ما يصل إلى 299 مليون دولار أمريكي من الاستثمارات في حوالي 79 صفقة خلال شهر مارس 2022 فقط. وهو انخفاض بنسبة 22% مقارنة بشهر فبراير من العام الجاري.

وبرغم الانخفاض على أساس شهري، كان هذا الرقم بمثابة ارتفاع بنسبة 71% على أساس سنوي مقارنة بنفس الفترة خلال 2021. بذلك يصل إجمالي الاستثمارات في الربع الأول من عام 2022 إلى 934 مليون دولار بزيادة حوالي 38%. عن نفس الفترة خلال العام الماضي.

وكانت الإمارات والسعودية ومصر من أكثر الدول العربية التي حصلت على استثمارات من داخل هذه القيمة الإجمالية حيث حصلت على 93% من إجمالي قيمة التمويل في مارس، واستطاعت الشركات الإماراتية الحصول على أكثر من نصف التمويل لوجود صفقات مثل تمويل شركة Tabby بقيمة 54 مليون دولار وشركة الطبي بقيمة 44 مليون دولار.

أما عن مصر، فقد جذبت نصف قيمة التمويل بحوالي 86,8 مليون دولار لوجود استثمارات مثل تمويل شركة لاكي بقيمة 25 مليون دولار وشركة خزنة بحوالي 38 مليون دولار، وفي المركز الثالث جاءت السعودية بنصيب 39.7 مليون دولار.

ومن حيث تقسيم المجالات، فكان النصيب الأكبر لصالح الشركات العاملة في المجال المالي وذلك بواقع 135 مليون دولار أي ما يعادل 4% من إجمالي الاستثمارات، وجاء بعد ذلك الشركات العاملة في المجال الطبي واللوجستيات بواقع 38 مليون دولار أي الثلث تقريبًا.

واستهدفت معظم عمليات الاستثمار المراحل المتأخرة قليلًا في التمويل كقيمة. لكن في عدد الاستثمارات كانت صفقات تمويل البذرة وما قبلها هي المسيطرة. كما حصلت الشركات الناشئة التي أسسها الذكور على 87% من الاستثمارات. بينما الشركات التي كانت بتعاون بين الذكور والإناث حوالي 12%، وكانت الشركات التي أسسها الإناث فقط بنسبة 1%.

يعزّز “اليوم العالمي للصّحة والسّلامة في مكان العمل” الذي يصادف 28 نيسان من كل سنة، الوقاية من الحوادث والأمراض المهنية على مستوى العالم.

ويسعى أيضاً نظام إدارة السّلامة والصّحة المهنيّة إلى بناء آلية شاملة ومنظّمة للعمل المشترك ما بين العمّال والإدارة في تطبيق إجراءات السّلامة والصّحة.

حسام خطَاب – إيلون ماسك  استحوذ مؤخّراً على منصّة تويتر بصفقة قاربت حاجز ٤٤ مليار دولاراً. هذه الصفقة باعتبار الكثيرين قد تغيّر شكل الإنترنت الذي نعرف. فلماذا صفقة استحواذ إيلون ماسك على تويتر مهمّة؟

تفاصيل الصفقة

منصة تويتر قد تبدو عادية على الورق؛ فعدد مستخدميها أقل من عشر مثيلهم على منصات شركة ميتا. كذلك سعر السهم الحالي أقل من سعر الإغلاق في اليوم الأول للتداول قبل ثمانية أعوام. ومع ذلك، استحواذ إيلون ماسك أثار الشكوك حيال تأثيرها على الانتخابات الرئاسية الأمريكية المقبلة.

من الأسئلة المطروحة حاليا مثلا إن كان دونالد ترامب سيعود إلى المنصة بالتزامن مع الانتخابات الأمريكية المقبلة. كل ذلك يعني أن فضاء المعلومات برمته قيد التغيير من حال إلى حال، والمتلقي في منتصف هذا التغيير ومن خلفه المجتمعات.

إمبراطورية ماسك في توسع

فهو حاليا يشرف على شركة السيارات الأمريكية الأكثر قيمة “تسلا“، وكذلك شركة فضائية، وشركة أنفاق، وشركة لزراعة الرقائق في الأدمغة، وشركة الإنترنت ستارلنك، وفوقها منصة تواصل اجتماعي بملايين المستخدمين، وهذا الاستحواذ منحه أيضا قوة على التغيير على الواقع السياسي العالمي.

هذا بدا جليا في تدخّل بعض الجمهوريين لإتمام الصفقة، وفي بروز مطالب لنقل مقر الشركة إلى واحدة من الولايات الجمهورية. علاوة على ذلك، ظهرت تساؤلات عن رد فعل الصين وفي قوة تأثيرها على محتوى تويتر، ذلك بسبب مصلحة ماسك في توسع سيارات تسلا في السوق الصينية. صار هناك تعارض مصالح، وما لذلك من أبعاد سياسية جمة.

سياسات تويتر الجديدة

صفقة تويتر تمثل تغييراً في خريطة ملكية الشركة، فبعد أن كانت شركة عامة أصبحت شركة مملوكة لفرد. ومن العادة أن يصاحب ذلك تغييراً في السياسات العامة للشركة ككل.

المرجح أن نشهد تغييرات في طريقة إدارة المحتوى، وربما كذلك إضافة خصائص جديدة. والاحتمال الماثل هو إحداث تغييرات إدارية جديدة في المناصب العليا، وهذا سيتبعه ربما تغييرا في الثقافة المؤسسية للشركة ككل.

أن يصبح هكذا ذراع إعلامي بيد الرجل الأكثر ثراء لا بد أن يكون له تأثيرات سياسية واقتصادية واجتماعية. ما حدث له ما بعده، وليس خبراً في كعب الصفحة، والقادم مختلف على أكثر من صعيد.

From the Ground Up!

Following the aftermath of the pandemic, Abu Leil found herself without a job. As a translator with more than 7 years of experience in the tech industry, she refused to let it all go easily.

“Her brain never stopped functioning,” Barakat admitted, recalling the events that led him and his partner to create ITS. “It continuously sought ways to ride the wave of digitization, as did all other companies, and combine her passion for linguistics with her expertise in tech.”

After a sudden epiphany, Abu Leil decided to recruit Barakat to help her better visualize her thoughts. The two discussed ideas together until they birthed ITS.

Offering multiple services, from translation to copywriting, and delivering material in minimal time yet with high-quality seems surreal. ITS, like many other startups, faced its own set of challenges along the way, particularly when having to figure out all the checkpoints it needed to stop at along its journey.

كما أنّ انضمام ماسك أضاف إلى الصّخب والغموض الّذي أحاط بتويتر خلال الفترة الماضية. فمنذ حوالي أربعة أشهر، تنّحى جاك دورسي عن منصبه كرئيس تنفيذي لتويتر، وهذا التنّحي كان بشكل أو بآخر نتيجة لضغوط من مجموعة Elliott Management التي تملك 4% من أسهم تويتر. فالمجموعة الاستثمارية لم تكن راضية عن سعر سهم تويتر وعن حجم نموّ المستخدمين.

وتركت المجموعة الاستثمارية مقعدها في مجلس الإدارة قبل عام، وبالمقابل وضعت تحدّيًا وأهدافًا كبيرة على دورسي مثل زيادة عدد المستخدمين بمائة مليون مستخدم، وزيادة المبيعات والحصّة السّوقية. عندما ترك دورسي منصبه، كان جلّيًا أنّه لم يحقّق الأهداف الموضوعة، واختار التنحي. هذه الأهداف أصبحت مسؤولية خليفته Agrawal. خلال الفترة الماضية، المؤشّرات لم تكن لصالح خليفته. نعم تويتر بدأت في طرح منتجات جديدة، ولكنها خسرت أموالًا في الرّبع الأخير وزادت فقط ستة ملايين مستخدم.

هذا كلّه يدلّ أنّ شركة تويتر ما زالت تحت مرمى نيران المجموعة الاستثمارية Elliot أو أي مستثمر نشيط آخر، ويترك الباب مفتوحًا أمام ضغوط إضافية لتنحي Agrawal أو حتى بيع المنصة ذاتها. وهو ما كان سببًا كافيًا وجذّابًا لانضمام إيلون ماسك، الّذي يملك علاقات طيبة مع كل من دورسي وخليفته، وجميعهم مهتمون بالعملات الرقمية وبتقديم نموذج مختلف من وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي.

وجود ماسك في مجلس الإدارة سيشكّل حصنًا نوعًا ما أمام ضغوط المستثمرين، ومع أنّ ماسك يملك صوتًا واحد من أصل ١٢ عضوًا في مجلس الإدارة، مكانته في كونه مالكًا للحصّة الأكبر من أسهم تويتر وفي كونه مؤثّرًا مع ٨٠ مليون متابع، ممّا سيمنحه قوة ناعمة لكبح جماح المستثمرين. ومع انضمامه، زاد سعر سهم تويتر بحوالي ٢٧٪، وهو ما سيعطي Agrawal مزيدا من الوقت لتحقيق الأهداف.

ماذا بعد؟

السّؤال المتبّقي هو عن طبيعة التّأثير الذي سيسعى له ماسك في تويتر. ماسك ردّد مراراً أنّه مهتم بطرح منّصة تواصل اجتماعي جديدة مع قيود أقلّ، ممّا قد يعني أنه ربما سيؤثر على سياسات إدارة المحتوى على تويتر، وربما يعيد دونالد ترامب إلى منّصة تويتر. ماسك لم ينتظر كثيراً، وسأل جمهوره المليوني عن رغبتهم في طرح خاصيّة تعديل التغريدات بعد النشر، والملاحظ أن Agrawal شارك هذا الاستفتاء على حسابه الرسمي.

المؤشّرات الرّاجحة حتّى اللحظة أن Agrawal ربّما أراد تشتيت الاهتمام بعض الشّيء عن الأهداف المطلوبة منه، وسهام النقد بدأت تطاله أنه لم يقدم تحسينًا ملموسًا على أرقام تويتر. الآن مع استفتاء ماسك، الوارد أن Agrawal سيواجه صراعًا بين مشاريعه وأفكاره وبين رؤية ماسك للمنّصة، على الرّغم من التقاء أفكارهما على أكثر من صعيد.

تصرّفات ماسك وتغريداته أحيانًا تكون غير منّظمة، ويغلب عليها الفوضى في كثير من الأحيان، وهو ما استدعى قرارات قضائية بحقّه بسبب تهم التلاعب بأسعار أسهم الشركات عبر تغريداته. اليوم الاحتمالات مفتوحة على مصراعيها، والرّهان على أنه سيتحدّى أكثر وأكثر منصب الرّئيس التنفيذي في الشّهور القادمة، وانضمام ماسك سيشكّل تهديدًا بطريقة أو بأخرى على منصب Agrawal، ولعلّنا نشهد تغييرات إدارية جديدة إن اختلفت الرّؤى والتوجهات، ومن مأمنه يؤتى الحذر.

Math Achievers: Learning Through Mental Games

Math had always been and remains a critical subject students need to grasp, as we counter it in our everyday lives.

To make math easier and persistent in young children’s lives, entrepreneur and math genius, Yazan Tadros, created “Math Achievers” an application that makes learning math more fun!

The Incentive

“When I was young, I was particularly gifted with math,” recalled Tadros as he looked back at his time at school. “I never shied away from a test or a competition to the point where I ended up on the cover of our local newspaper.”

Driven by his love for numbers and cracking complex equations, Tadros became a math teacher. As he transitioned from student to instructor, he soon realized how much students struggled to grasp the material.

To encourage his students to appreciate the subject and learn in a fun manner, he decided to develop an interactive mobile application.

Gaming as a Competitive Advantage

This generation is enthralled by technology. As kids engage in gaming and surfing the web, Tadros decided to leverage on that when developing Math Achievers.

“Through the use of fun and intellectual gaming challenges, the aim of the app is to help children between the age of 5 and 12 to develop their math skills,” the entrepreneur explained.

The application works on increasing their focus, retaining their memory, and enabling them to solve problems faster.

Cultivating Minds

Through the application, children will have the opportunity to practice and challenge their friends for a chance to win rewards, and because many children love to compete against one another, this serves as an extra push towards practicing mental mathematics.

“The games are as interactive as they are fun,” explained Tadros. “They stimulate children’s minds and keep them entertained. This was most proven during the pandemic when several of our users used the app to kill time and learn all at once while they were stuck at home.”

The Tank as a Lighthouse

According to Tadros, The Tank by Umniah served as a lighthouse that guided the startup safely towards the shore. Through their networking opportunities, consultations, meetings and several other activities, they provided Math Achievers with not only guidance but a set of skills that is pivotal when it comes to entrepreneurship.

On a final note, Yazan Tadros wished to send a message to all aspiring entrepreneurs looking to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey. “The road will start off as impossible to cross before you realize it’s filled with many hindrances. But as long as you know where your next step lies, there’s nothing to be afraid of.”

كيف تقلّص آثار الأزمات وتجد الفرص لشركتك الناشئة؟

هاشتاق عربي – يشجعنا التحدي دائما على تخطي الحدود واستكشاف الفرص، وتتعرض الشركات الناشئة أو الرائدة لمثل هذه التحديات بين الحين والآخر، ويعتبر هذا بمثابة محفز للنمو. لكن ماذا يحدث عندما تصبح التحديات صعبة؟ وبدلًا من استكشاف إمكانات جديدة، تبدأ الإمكانات الحالية في التلاشي؟ وبدلًا من النمو، يصبح البقاء هو الهدف الأساسي؟ هذا ما يحدث عندما تمرّ شركة ما بأزمة.

في تقرير نشرته مجلة “إنتربرينوير” (Entrepreneur) الأميركية المتخصصة في ريادة الأعمال، يقول الكاتب شاروز داوا إن نظرية البقاء للأقوى ليس مجرد نظرية تطورية في علم الأحياء، بل تنطبق أيضا على الاقتصاد، حيث يمكن أن تمرّ الشركات بمختلف الأزمات، والتي قد تشمل اختراقات الأمن السيبراني أو تضارب المصالح أو خسارة مستثمر أو عميل رئيسي أو الديون المعدومة، وما إلى ذلك.

ويوضح الكاتب أن بحثا أجرته شركة “ماكنزي” (McKinsey) الاستشارية في يونيو/حزيران 2020، أظهر أنه حتى مع الخسائر الاقتصادية الهائلة التي سببتها أزمة فيروس كورونا، فإن العديد من القادة متفائلون بقدرتهم على الاستفادة من هذا التحدي لصالح أعمالهم التجارية.

1. الشبكات الإيجابية

يشير الكاتب إلى أن هناك مقولة تقول: إن البشر هم أكبر مورد. فإذاً، لماذا لا نستخدمهم في هذه العملية، موجّهًا إلى ضرورة استشارة الزملاء والمديرين التنفيذيين الآخرين والموجهين وخبراء الصناعة وحتى المبتدئين إذا لزم الأمر، حيث يمكن أن تأتي الحلول الإبداعية من أي طرف، ولن تكون هناك حاجة إلى الكشف عن جميع المعلومات الداخلية، حيث يمكن مشاركة الحقائق فقط.

ووفقًا للبحث، فإن استشارة الفريق في المسائل المهمة تساهم في تمكين الموظفين، وتزيد من طول العمر الوظيفي والرضا.

2. إدارة علاقات العملاء

ويبيّن الكاتب أنه لا يخفى على أحد أن 20% من عملاء أي شركة يوفّرون 80% من الإيرادات، ولهذا يعتبر العثور على عملاء أساسيين أمرًا صعبًا، لأنهم يقدمون المساندة حتى في الأوقات الصعبة فقط إذا تم التعامل معهم بشكل صحيح.

وبالتالي، لا بد من حماية مصالح كبار العملاء مهما كلف الأمر، والحفاظ على إيمانهم بالشركة، وإذا لزم الأمر، يجب التواصل معهم شخصيًّا، والتأكيد لهم على أن الشركة ستتغلب على الأزمة.

3. اختيار الموظفين

يقول الكاتب لصاحب الشركة: اختر الموظفين المناسبين للتعامل مع الأزمة، فستكون هناك حاجة إلى أشخاص حيويين ومبدعين للعمل على المشكلة وإيجاد الحل، لذلك يجب اختيارهم بناء على مؤهلاتهم التقنية وخبرتهم في هذا المجال.

4. ركّز على الأهداف الطويلة المدى

ويلفت الكاتب إلى أن الأوقات العصيبة والأزمات ستنتهي قريبًا، ولكن ينبغي معالجتها على المدى الطويل، مبينًا أن التركيز على الأهداف الطويلة المدى لا يوفر فقط اتجاهًا للتطلع إليه، ولكنه يحافظ أيضًا على ثقة الموظفين والعملاء.

ويؤكّد على أنه يجب -في الوقت نفسه- الحفاظ على التوازن النقدي التشغيلي، فقد تتعثر موارد الطرف الثالث، مثل القروض والاستثمارات المصرفية في الأزمات، وبالتالي، يجب التحضير لأسوأ السيناريوهات، كما يجب تحديد سياسة البقاء في تلك المواقف.

5. البحث عن فرصة

ويتساءل الكاتب قائلا: ماذا فعلت شركة “آبل” في الأوقات التي كان فيها العالم يصارع جائحة كورونا؟ مجيبًا: لقد عملت بجد على تطوير ساعة “آبل واتش” (Apple Watch) لمعرفة كيف يمكن للأجهزة القابلة للارتداء أن تقدم أي تحذير من الإصابة بالعدوى، مشيرًا إلى أن فريق البحث والتطوير القوي يقطع شوطًا طويلًا خاصة في أوقات الأزمات.

6. حافظ على هدوئك

وبحسب الكاتب، فإنه يمكن أن تكون مثل هذه المواقف محبطة ومزعجة، لأنها قد تخلق الكثير من التوتر، ولهذا فإن من شأن اتخاذ تدابير مثل ممارسة التأمل، والاستشارة عبر الإنترنت، والمناقشات الجماعية، والدعم الأسري؛ أن تساعد في الحفاظ على تركيز العقل، ولا بد من السيطرة على مستويات القلق والاكتئاب، والأخذ بعين الاعتبار أن الأزمة ستكون مؤقتة.

ويشدّد الكاتب على أنه يمكن للقيادة القوية المجهزة بموظفين مدربين وماهرين التغلب على أصعب المواقف، مبينًا أنه يجب استكشاف جميع الاحتمالات، بدءًا من إستراتيجية تسويق جديدة، ووصولًا إلى خطة عمل جديدة تمامًا.

Engagesoft: Driving Organizational Success

Business owners, managers, and avid business readers know that the key to organizational success is its employees. Whenever employees are engaged at work, they tend to yield better results, mostly reflected in terms of greater brand positioning, higher customer satisfaction, and more profit.  

All those at the top of the corporate hierarchy relentlessly work on keeping their employees engaged, but the truth is, employee engagement is not an easy task. So, to ease the process and help businesses increase employee engagement, Jordanian entrepreneur Tareq Tahboub decided to put his computer skills to work and develop the right solution: Engagesoft. 

An Insight Into Engagesoft 

Two years after his graduation from Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Tahboub was offered the chance to work at a Japanese software company. “The move to Japan was enlightening,” Tahboub explained. “While being there, I didn’t just cultivate and sharpen my skills, but I was inspired to create Engagesoft.”  

According to Tahboub, the Japanese work culture was more structured and disciplined than he had seen in Jordan. Leaders were very keen on enforcing a better corporate culture that yielded higher employee engagement. After seeing all the success their efforts generated, Tahboub returned to the kingdom and opened his own software company. He went on to create Engagesoft: a software that enables organizations to increase employee engagement through the use of data analytics and AI.

The Software’s Anatomy 

Tahboub wanted to develop a tool that will build a comprehensive understanding of employee engagement and enable managers to create action plans and measure their impact. So, he made sure to integrate all that in his software. 

 “Engagesoft identifies employee engagement levels, evaluates the insights it captured, and enables the management team to develop a structured plan to address gaps and leverage on opportunities,” Tahboub commented. 

The analyzed data reflects employee life cycles, exit analysis, and work inquiries, which permits to study managerial actions when company leaders address issues. After all the data is collected, Engagesoft generates reports to identify strengths and areas to work on. 

The Obstacles Along the Way 

The entrepreneurial path is littered with challenges and obstacles. During the discussion, Tahboub recalled that aside from figuring out the mechanics of the software, he found the research part to be the most hectic. “We needed to identify engagement attributes and factors to be included and analyzed in order to generate reports and plans. This required a lot of reflection and a hefty amount of research.”  

 The pandemic didn’t make things easier. Tahboub had to postpone the launch of Engagesoft and feared that with the new “Work From Home” policies would drastically influence sales.

The Tank: Building the Future  

“We were exposed to various opportunities thanks to The Tank by Umniah,” declared Tahboub. “What my startup benefitted from the most was undoubtedly the consultation sessions and the networking opportunities.”  

 Tahboub praised the incubator and its staff, explaining that it was a natural choice for him. Despite the knowledge he had accumulated over the years, he was surprised to know that there was still so much to learn. And thanks to the team at The Tank, he managed to gather sufficient knowledge to build his startup. 

With plans to increase his offerings and enrich his current model, Tareq Tahboub expresses his excitement for the future. He wanted to leave a final message to all the aspiring entrepreneurs, urging them to keep on creating as much as they can. “You have the ability to come up with infinite ideas. Find the one you love, build something beautiful, and don’t stop until you bring it to life.”
