I applied to Umniah as part of my universities International Internship program.
My department helpfully laid out a tailored work plan based around one major project, giving me initial structure and an idea of what I would be working on and when.
There was a real variety of work each day during my time with Umniah. I attended training sessions that ranged from hour-long workshops on employee- manager relationships to an afternoon presentation on the learning styles and psychology of each person in the department and even a two day course on the use of competencies in HR practice. I also had the chance to work with a range of people in the department on smaller projects, such as drafting contracts and putting basic computer script writing I learnt into practice.

I have been working at Umniah for 7 weeks now. From the very beginning of the process of your internship, you will realize that Umniah employees are very friendly and always willing to help you at whatever issue you might face.
I have had a very good, intense and frequent working relationship with my manager who was always willing to help with issues that I faced during my work. This clearly maximized the experience I got from my stay.

My internship was in the marketing department; working with the enterprise solutions team. My job was particularly interesting, as the majority of the work I have been doing was associated with a major event for the company.
My work was highly varied; ranging from market analysis to designing the pilot test of the new devices and generating ideas about the product lines that can be launched within this service.
Because Umniah is still a growing and relatively young company, I felt that I was at times able to have a significant input into the project I have been involved in. Having not worked in the commercial sector before, this internship has therefore been both a rewarding and interesting experience for me both personally and professionally.
