Umniah | umniah | Ahmad Jaghoub : Director of Engineering

Ahmad Jaghoub assumed his current position as Umniah’s Director of Engineering in March 2011, after joining the Company as the WiMAX Project Leader in May 2010, bringing to the table over 16 years of extensive experience in the telecom industry. Since his appointment as Director of Engineering, Ahmad has been overseeing the department’s operations, and formulating its long-term visions and strategies.

Prior to joining Umniah, Jaghoub worked as the Chief Executive Officer at Dama Ventures Group, leading their Sudan-based Telecom operator, where he was responsible for establishing and directing the company’s commercial and technical operations, and overseeing the implementation of its strategies and operational plans. Prior to his tenure at DamaVentures Group, Jaghoub was Umniah’s BSS Senior Manager and Deputy Engineering Director. During this tenure, Jaghoub led the planning and deployment of both GSM and WiMAX networks using his more than 8 years of experience in managing mobile networks for leading operators in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and US, in addition to his experience in the Data Telecom field at Central Bank of Jordan

Jaghoub holds an MBA degree from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, and a BA in Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Egypt.
