Safe Internet Umniah offers the Safe Internet Service which allows you to have safe and clean Internet access where inappropriate sites will be automatically blocked to provide clean content to the children that are accessing the Internet. The Safe Internet service allows you to: Automatically block inappropriate websites. The service blocks all content that is labeled unfit for all users. The service can be turned on and off per your convenience through the service section in the Umniah Portal. The service is offered for JD2 per month and is automatically turned on once subscribed to. To subscribe, please visit any Umniah shop and request the service.

Upon reaching your monthly cap limit, your subscription speed will be throttled to 64Kbps. You will be receiving two notifications before your subscription is throttled; an SMS and email will be sent to your registered contact details upon reaching 50%, 80% and 100% of the cap limit.

Your speed will be restored to its original speed once your month starts (not necessarily on the 1st of every month – this depends on the actual subscription date) and your cap balance will be reset to its original value (10GB for example for the 512Kbps subscription).

Cap Recharge

To restore your speed without having to wait for the next month to start, you can recharge your download cap with GBs to use for your Internet browsing and downloads. The recharged GBs will have a validity of 2 months for you to use up. If they are not used up within 2 months the remaining recharged GBs will be removed from your cap balance.

How to recharge my Cap
There are multiple ways in which the cap balance can be recharged:

• By visiting any Umniah shop.
• Through the Umniah Broadband Portal
  • Buy cap through your Credit Card
  • Recharge through the UDSL prepaid cards
• For Umniah Prepaid GSM users, you can send your UDSL username with the domain (username@umcstream) in an SMS to 99866. 1GB will be added to your cap balance and 3JDs will be deducted from your balance.

Additional Cap

In case recharging your account on monthly basis is not practical, the additional cap service will offer you the ability to add GBs to your cap balance automatically every month.

Upon subscription you can purchase the additional cap service with the requested number of GBs that you need to be added to your cap balance. The same number of GBs will be added each month.

Static IP

A static IP address is a number (in the form of a dotted quad) that is assigned to a computer by an Internet service provider to be its permanent address on the Internet. Computers use IP addresses to locate and talk to each other on the Internet, much the same way people use phone numbers to locate and talk to one another on the telephone.

Umniah offers customers that require a fixed IP Address for certain VPN services, camera surveillance, etc a static IP for them to use in the configuration of their network.

The IP address will always be assigned to the Internet plan so its subscription duration depends on the Internet subscription duration.
