Class of Service

There are three Classes Of Service (COS) Platinum, Gold and Silver. Each COS offers a different class of service in terms of getting access to the internet. The Platinum COS offers the highest priority, followed by Gold and Silver. COS ensures that you get priority access to the services over other customers when the network is congested.

Quality of Service

Quality of Service (QOS) provides you with fixed assigned bandwidth as opposed to a shared bandwidth which is offered to all customers. There are two types:

Committed: It refers to fixed assigned band width speed to the subscriber.

Shared: It refers to dynamic band width management to all subscribers to use the band width.

Uplink/Downlink Speeds

Umniah offers two features as far as the Uplink and downlink speeds are concerned:

·         Asymmetric: When the upload broadband speed is different than the download and this is what most users would need for normal internet access.

·         Symmetric: When upload and download broadband speeds are the same and this useful feature for heavy users who upload a lot of information.
